Manual Diversified Adjustments

Diversified Chiropractic Technique (DCT) is the most commonly used adjustment technique by chiropractors.  DCT is characterized by a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust.  This is what many would call traditional manual adjustments.

2

Impulse Adjustments (Instrument)

IMPULSE: This patented and Health Canada registered device was specifically created to deliver gentle and precise chiropractic adjustments to the joints of the spine and extremities to relieve pain and restore function. ‑The Impulse Adjusting Instrument® is controlled by micro-computer circuitry housed within the device that produces a controlled force that chiropractors can use to treat different areas of the body.  This technique does not produce the 'popping' or 'cracking' sound as heard/felt with traditional adjustments.

3

Arthrostim Adjustments (Instrument) & Neuromuscular Release Therapy

ArthroStim works the same way as any other manual chiropractic adjustment, but without the manual pressure. It delivers 12-14 incremental thrusts per second to the affected area of the body. These “thrusts” are rapid successive inputs; therefore, the pressure is only mildly felt by the patient. In fact, many patients report the sensation as being quite comfortable.

Due to the repetitiveness of this instrument, the neurologic feedback of receptors is constant and ongoing throughout the treatment, allowing for an effective result of pain relief and healing.

An important feature of ArthroStim is its ability for pressure adjustment. Your chiropractor will be able to manage the amount of force that the thrusts provide, based on the nature of your condition and the amount of pressure that is needed. This allows ArthroStim to effectively treat a wide range of different conditions.

4

Percussion Therapy / Muscle Recovery

State-of-the-art Percussion Massage:

  1. Helps relieve muscle soreness and stiffness

  2. Improves range of motion

  3. Promotes circulation

  4. Accelerates warmup and recovery

5

Muscle Release Therapy

A hands on muscle technique that aims to identify, isolate and target affected muscle to break up adhesions and increase tissue mobility utilizing manual pin & stretch.

6

Graston (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy)

Soft tissue injuries can be debilitating and frustrating. Graston Technique®(GT) therapy is successful in effectively treating all soft tissue conditions, whether they are chronic, acute or post- surgical. GT therapy can help you enjoy life again.

This unique technique and instruments enable the treatment of scar tissue and fascial restrictions during rehabilitation that allows for faster rehabilitation and with greater success when the goal is restoring range of motion, eliminating pain, and restoring normal function.

7

Kinesiotaping

KT and  the kinesiotaping method is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while allowing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It is used to successfully treat a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and medical conditions.

Kinesio taping has a few important aspects. Firstly, it helps reset the circuitry in the affected part of your body by correcting any faulty interactions between the skin and the tendons, muscles, and joints underneath. By doing this, you are able to improve your muscle strength and activity.

Secondly, Kinesio taping also blocks the pain receptors that are being sent to your brain. When your brain doesn’t receive those messages telling you that you’re in pain, the muscles in the affected area will loosen up and the risk of muscle spasms will decrease. Pain constricts an affected area, but if the pain is taken away, there suddenly becomes more freedom for blood flow and movement.

Cupping

Benefits of cupping

  • Remove facial restrictions

  • Increase range of motion

  • Reduced adhesion from scar tissue

  • Reduces increased tone in muscles

  • Revascularization of the area

9

Neutraceuticals/Vitamins

Although I believe it's always best to obtain your nutritional needs from foods in your diet, the reality is that often we either need a boost, or supplementation in an area that our diet may lack within.

For this reason neutraceuticals can often play a vital role in your health care journey.

I do not carry any vitamins/supplements, but will provide you with a prescription based on your individual case on what supplements may be beneficial.

You then can either utilize my suggested online dispensary that only carries medical grade supplements or you can choose your own retailer.

9

Orthotics

Orthotics are special shoe or heel inserts a doctor prescribes that are custom-made specifically for you to treat some foot, leg, or back problems.

To see if Orthotics are the right solution for you or even necessary, first you will need to book a biomechanical Gait Assessment.  In this assessment I will assess your concerns/condition and then go over options for you if Orthotics are of benefit to you.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ORTHOTICS CAN NOT BE DIRECT BILLED & YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO SPEAK TO YOUR INSURANCE PROVIDER ABOUT COVERAGE & SUBMISSION PROCESSES PRIOR TO YOUR ASSESSMENT APPOINTMENT.
